ABOUT ME
This page is actually "hidden". But oh geez! You found it! :-) Wann know more about me?? my secrets? okay, then please read on!
I don’t know how to describe myself. I’m very poor at that. Im no angel, for sure. Im a family person, a Dadi's girl too. Im not plastic, I have a temper but I don't keep grudges. Im also very open minded, I always choose to see the goodness in every person.I work hard and I play hard. I know what i want and I always do my best to reach/ achieve my goal.
I hope you don’t get bored while trying to know some bits and pieces of me. Below, you will find weird but true things about me.
1. Every year, I make the same new year’s resolution “to avoid chocolates” but I never make it until the end of every first week of January –ever!
2. I’m soooooo afraid of rats that I will scream all my lungs out at the sight of any. I was once locked in the bathroom (old house in Oruba, Riyadh) when a big, black, hairy rodent- desert rat- entered from a hole in the window and I screamed too much that everyone in our flat and some of the neighbors rushed to “save” me. I swear, I thought I would die right there inside the bathroom with that big rat looking directly at me, as if saying: “I WILL EAT YOU ALIVE, GIRL!!”). Thank God my husband, together with FOUR (4) other men, managed to “set me free” after more than an hour of being trapped! Such an ordeal!!
3. I'm a Facebook buff- breakfast, lunch, dinner and in between. I'm also an iPhone addict.
4. When I was small, I was pretty clumsy—I stumble easily while walking and playmates laugh at me for always tripping while running. Around the dining table, I used to fall off from my chair and my family used to laugh at me a lot. They call me “Kuyay”—I think that’s another term for lampa?!
5. When I was in Kindergarten, I was on a swing and my classmate, a boy named ED*** pushed the swing so high that I fell on the ground- bigtime! I went home crying with a bleeding forehead and I swore to myself that I will never forgive him. (Last year, after 25 yrs of the swing incident, that “boy” added me as a friend in Facebook and he apologized for what he did.)
6. When I was 13 years old, I wanted a birthday party, but my Dad did not come home to celebrate my birthday because he was mad at me.
7. When my Mom was still working abroad, she gave me an electronic Roland piano keyboard (a forced birthday present!) and enrolled me in a keyboard/piano lesson. However, I did not learn how to play well and I felt my fingers are too stiff to play—I therefore conclude that “some” things are just not meant to be (for me)”—playing the piano is definitely one!
8. When I was in second year high school, I had a huge crush (as in major, major) to my seatmate, but I managed to keep it from all my friends (including him). He was a real heartbreaker though…and he always turned to me for advices regarding his girlfriends (good thing he didn’t realize that I was sabotaging all his plans with them).
9. When my Dad learned that I had my first “official” boyfriend (which actually lasted only for 2 months), he was so mad at me that he did not talk to me for 6 months (including a Christmas and New Year). Duh?! How could Dad be so unforgiving?! And I was already 16 years old that time. (My first unofficial boyfriend (must be first love or something) was a former neighbor who also became a classmate of mine in college).
10. By accident, I became a cheerleader in highschool (the “real” cheerleader got sick and I had to replace her). Luckily, our cheering group won first place during Intrams. When I think of it, I still find it hard to believe--- I mean, I—as in “me” being a cheerleader??? Yes, yes, I know--It’s not so me.
11. When I was 8 and my brother 6, our Dad bought 2 pairs of boxing gloves to teach my brother boxing. When he could not find someone to carry on a boxing match with my brother, he asked me to wear the other pair of gloves to fight with him. (Me???boxing???—seriously???!!) On his signal to start, I immediately boxed my brother on his face and he fell down asleep! Whew!! That was fastJ <<Peace bro!>> **Bimbo was knocked down for more done an hour…lol!
12. My first stint of photography was late in highschool. My friends and I were convinced that we have photographed a GHOST in an old classroom during our Outreach Program. The picture spread across the school and became an instant hit! (Turned out that our imaginations were more advanced than our cameras..hihihi).
13. I had an ultimate love-fantasy over Shane MC Dermott (Airborne star—u crazy, how’d you not know??!! Grrrr!!) when I was in third year high school. I asked my Dad to give me money for our school project, but I actually bought a huge poster of him and printed other small pictures from the internet (hey, one colored print out in 1993 cost a fortune!).
14. When I was in Grade 2, my teacher, Mrs. H, let me stand for more than two long hours at the back of our classroom because I didn’t know the answer to her question during class. That was the very first time in my life that I felt extremely humiliated (uhm…actually, when I was in first grade, I urinated on my skirt uniform during our class, but that was a different case ---see-- that’s a call of nature”, right??).
15. I have only one inaanak until now—which is the son of our neighbor in Mindoro.
16. When I was in college, I dated a drug addict (I should know, because that time, I was taking Pharmacy course!).
17. Also in college, I was so crazy in-love with Olsen Racela (San Miguel Team, PBA) that I used to save my allowance and skip classes to watch his games LIVE either in Araneta Coliseum or Cuneta Astrodome. I bought several posters and placed them in my bedroom, inside the cupboard, beside the bed and I dreamt of him every night. (I even sent him a love letter and went to visit his house.) *Trivia: his name “Olsen came from All Saints’ Day—his birthday falls on Nov. 1.*
18. I will never forget my “first kiss” NOT because it was sweet but because I realized that I didn’t like it a bit!~~ ooopss…sorry :P~~
19. I believe in fairy tales and I always wish that one day, I’ll have one heck of a fairy tale myself.
20. I came to Saudi Arabia by accident. I went to a recruitment agency to accompany a friend (who is now in Canada) but it turned out that they didn’t want to hire male pharmacists…so I got the job. Also in Saudi Arabia, I got married (I've known him for a few days, and we had the chance to be together for 10 days- including 4 days with my sisters- then we immediately got married! It was a turning point in my life and we were blessed with two lovely girls.)
21. I took up 18 units of Basic Education Course in the Graduate School while I was teaching in the College of Pharmacy in Adamson University because I have always dreamt of passing the Teacher Licensure Exam and being a full pledged teacher.
22. Once upon a time, I fell in love with my best friend but I lost him before I could even let him know. (ssshhhh…)
23. I was a bit hurt when my Dad told us that my eldest sister is his favorite among us and my Mom seconded that she likes my elder sister best. That time, I promised myself that if I become a parent, I will never compare them to each other and I will love them equally. (Hey, that doesn’t change the fact that my family is the best one there is!).
24. Sometimes, I stay up all night watching my babies while they’re sleeping…it makes me happy…and releases me from all anxieties.
25. My greatest dream is to travel the world... to see as many different places as I can, to meet and feel people and know their different ways of living.
The long list ends here ….If you were able to read them all without falling asleep, I guess I can hide from you no more!!! Lol :D :P
