PLACES VISITED: SHARM EL SHEIKH/ DAHAB, EGYPT
EGYPT
Sharm el Sheikh is a popular tourist destination in Egypt, known for its beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and abundant marine life. It is also a great place to go scuba diving, with dive sites to suit all levels of experience.
I recently had the opportunity to arrange a group scuba diving trip to Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt for RDA DiveNet.. It was such an amazing experience.
We stayed at the Sharks Bay Umbi Diving Resort , which is a beautiful hotel located right on the beach. The resort has its own dive center, which made it very convenient for us.
We booked a four-day dive package, which included two dives per day. On our first day, we did a check dive to make sure that everyone was comfortable in the water and with their equipment. After that, we went on a dive to the Ras Mohammed National Park. This park is home to a variety of marine life, including colorful coral reefs, fish, and turtles.
On our second day, we did two dives to the Tiran Straits. This is a popular dive site because it is home to a variety of shipwrecks, including the SS Thistlegorm. The SS Thistlegorm was a British merchant ship that was sunk by a German bomber in 1941. It is now a popular dive site because it is well-preserved and home to a variety of marine life.
On our third day, we did two dives to the Jackson Reef. This reef is known for its strong currents and abundance of marine life. We saw sharks, turtles, and a variety of colorful fish.
On our fourth and final day, we did two dives to the Shark Observatory. This dive site is known for its large population of sharks. We saw whitetip reef sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and even a few grey reef sharks.
Overall, I had an amazing time on my group scuba diving trip to Sharm el Sheikh. The diving was incredible, and the people were great. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in scuba diving.

Here are some additional tips for planning a group scuba diving trip:
- Choose a reputable dive center. Make sure to do your research and choose a dive center that has a good reputation.
- Book your trip in advance. This is especially important if you are traveling during peak season.
- Get certified. If you are not already certified, you will need to get certified before you can go scuba diving. There are many different dive certification agencies, so choose one that is right for you.
- Pack the right gear. Make sure to pack all of the necessary scuba diving gear, including a mask, snorkel, fins, buoyancy compensator, regulator, and dive computer.
- Be prepared for anything. Scuba diving is a relatively safe activity, but it is important to be prepared for anything. Make sure to know the risks involved and what to do in an emergency.
